A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF BELLE PLAINE, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 25-2120, AND ESTABLISHING THE DATES FOR TAKING PUBLIC OFFICE FOR THE GOVERNING BODY.

Section 1. The City of Belle Plaine, Kansas, by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the Kansas Constitution, hereby elects to and does exempt itself and make inapplicable to it the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2120, which apply to this city, but are parts of enactments which do not apply uniformly to all cities.

Section 2. The governing body shall take office and be sworn in during the first meeting of the governing body to be held on or after December 1st but no later than the second Monday in January.
